Dr. Samy is a Retina expert. On each visit he carefully reviews and evaluates myAMD status. He clearly advises me of my options so I can make an informed decision. When I leave his office, I feel confident that I have made the correct decision.

He has good bedside manner but that may also be his weakness. When I saw him, he was running at least1 hour behind and I had a 9am appointment. When I saw him, he was in the room for about 5-10 minutes. He has me following up in a few months. I don’t have any immediate issues at the time. It makes me wonder if he did the bare minimum in order to get caught up and having me come back so that he can do the full assessment and create a treatment plan. I had an office visit with my general optometrist (same company) about a month before this visit. So he had imaging to compare it to and see that nothing had changed. With a $100 copay, we’ll see what the next visit brings.

Everything was great except for some of the wait times after getting prepared for his visit/consultation. Then it was very friendly and thorough.

The wait time totally needs improvement. He was absolutely to fast on my exam. I’ve been dealing with many issues over my years and the visit was non existent.
