Dr. Chandrashekar Kumbar, MD

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Kumbar and his staff. Dr Kumbar has many years of experience, however, it’s easy to tell that he is always trying to learn more and improve his craft. Dr Kumbar made me feel like he was on my team and wanted the best for me. I highly recommend Dr Kumbar to anyone needing a cardiologist.

Did a TEE to see if I was compatible for a Watchman. He decided I was. Was supposed to be like a glorified stent implant and take about an hour, spend the night in hospital and go home! He told me NOTHING about me having to give myself 9 shots in my stomach, having to be prepped for open heart surgery and said surgical team on standby! What was to be 1 hr surgery turned into 5 hr surgery! Tried to put 3 different Watchman in to no avail. Got out of surgery about 2:30 pm and he NEVER came to explain to me what he'd done that day, the next morning, and it 24 hrs later when he discharged me that he told me what he'd done, or what he DIDNT do! Told me my heart sack was odd shaped, which is what the TEE was supposed to show so he'd know better than to try this operation! I can't say he lied to me because he didn't tell me hardly anything about what was going to happen! If I'd known I would have never started!

Dr. Kumbar implanted a pacemaker in my sister-in-law, Geri Ferguson. He was very kind, had accurate diagnosis right away, had great bedside manner, explained everything thoroughly and kept family informed of patient during surgery. He also was reassuring to the patient that she would get strength back and start feeling better. Very positive and reassuring. This meant alot to the family. Thank you Dr. Kumbar.
