Dr. Changjian Chen, MD

My husband was referred to Chen by our PCP for a colonoscopy screening. Before the scheduled procedure, they were asking for $1400 (half the cost). When I spoke with the office staff why we needed to come up with that much money (my insurance pays for a screening at 100%), they told me it was because it was being done at Howatd Community. We had the procedure done at St. Vincents instead. Next thing, i know I'm getting a bill for new patient, level 1 visit. However, I find out later they did a diagnostic colonoscopy instead....The office staff are rude and very incompetent. They didnt inform us this was a diagnostic procedure. I even scheduled the appointment myself for a colonoscopy screening. I'm out $6,000

The first time in he sat and laughed at me. The second time I seen him I was in the hospital and he put in a G/J tube and continued to tell me it wasn't infected for the next 2 months. When he took it out, on the picture you could see 1.5 inch of infection inside of the hole. Never said anything, never apologized. Nothing. Will never go to him again.
