Dr. Chanhaeng Rhee, MD

Poor bedside manner and very dismissive overall. The doctor came across as arrogant and judgmental, especially when discussing my depression. Instead of showing empathy, he literally said, “I can’t treat your depression,” in a cold and dismissive way. The entire appointment felt impersonal. He seemed far more focused on staring at the computer screen and documenting things than actually interacting with me as a patient. During the physical exam, I also felt unnecessarily criticized and judged about blemishes on my body, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. I understand doctors are busy, but basic compassion and respectful communication should still exist in healthcare. Unfortunately, this visit lacked both.

Poor bedside manner, rushed the appointment (spent less than 10 minutes with us), disregarded the possibility that the symptoms involved could possibly be related to an endocrine issue and implied that we needed to treat other issues first (even though those are being managed). Also telling someone they “have a lot of issues” is just rude.

Dr was thorough and caring. I needed that badly.
