Dr. Chao Chen, DO

I usually don’t write reviews for physicians services but I do want to tell you that Dr Chen was so caring and comprehensive. He spent a long time with me addressing all my concerns and asking questions to get all the information. He is great and I would definitely recommend him as your PCP

I would absolutely recommend you AVOID seeing Dr. Chen or going to any locations of the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Dr. Chen and his team are awful and will try to SCAM you into taking additional appointments that you do NOT need. I came in for an annual physical and got bloodwork completed. Upon leaving, the woman at the front desk handed me an appointment confirmation for the doctor to "go over my bloodwork results". I asked her if this was necessary, as I could just view my bloodwork results online. She didn't give me an option to decline this appointment and rushed me out the door. Dr. Chen did call me to tell me the "bloodwork results look great" and we hung up. The call took about 20 seconds. They billed me $130 for a telephone appointment. If this isn't a scam, I'm not sure what is. I politely reached out to billing and Dr. Chen, who were less than helpful. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment and will pay the $130 to not deal with their miserable staff… ever again. If you are looking for a physician, I highly recommend going to One Medical instead. I've always had a pleasant experience with their staff and team of Doctors.

Dr Chen was my doctor for about 5 to 6 years.he is the best doctor I have ever been to he takes time to explain your results so you can understand it and he discuss ways to keep you healthy like diet change or exercise you can always talk to him. Really he is an amazing doctor

I WAS RECENTLY SENT TO ER AT NYHQ BY DR CHAN AND DIAGNOSED WITH Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, THAT IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION AS PER HOSPITAL, THANK YOU MY DOCTOR FOR SAVING MY LIFE.

I have been seeing Dr Chen for several years: I can see he is going a downward spiral. Recent years, he does not seem to be have many patients, and looks like the business is not doing well. This is probably why he and his secretary seems to be caring more about money nowadays then their patients. The attitude of his secretary is getting worse and worse each time. Finally I can't bear with them anymore and won't be coming back to them. Don't go to his clinic If you don't want to deal with bad attitude.

I have been going to him for years and he is very thorough and easy to talk to. He won't hesitate to spend the time if you have any questions. Sorry for his leaving us...
