I tried to go into this appointment with an open mind even though his "surgery pusher" bad reviews were bothering me. His good comments are very good.... I'm afraid i agree with the "surgery pusher" label. He actually seemed annoyed when I told him that I wanted non-surgery options. Then I felt dismissed and even a little made fun of for choosing to avoid surgery. I really wanted to have my care in Morristown because it's close to me, but I am going elsewhere

I saw Dr. Salamon recently as a second opinion about my prolapsed uterus. He was talking about surgery almost immediately. He did a less thorough exam than my other Dr. who is also a urogynecologist. My doctor tells me I don't need surgery, but Dr. Salamon stressed how much worse my problem was going to get. He didn't even give me the choice of doing nothing even though I'm not really bothered by the uterus. I didn't tell him that he was my second opinion. I will never be back. I don't trust him at all

Dr. Salamon performed my surgery in 2018. I was plagued with bladder issues for quite a few years, but now all those issues are gone, thanks to Dr. Salamon.

If you are considering pelvic reconstruction surgery, Dr. Charbel G Salamon is the ONLY place to go. Over ten years ago, I had a hysterectomy due to a prolapsed uterus. Three years later, I underwent a second surgery for further prolapse with another doctor. After this surgery, I hemorrhaged, and needless to say, the surgery did not get correct results. After the second surgery, I lived with the discomforts and embarrassment of prolapse for a good eight years. I think at that point I just mistrusted the prospect of any surgery. I finally began my research of doctors for a possible third surgery. I must admit, I almost passed by Dr. Salamon due to some of the negative comments that were posted. However, my nephew, who is a resident doctor, said to me: Dr. Salamon is the best, and you need the best. From my first visit to my surgery, Dr. Charbel Salamon and his kind and efficient office have been nothing but the BEST. Unlike my first surgery, Dr. Salamon sat me down… specifically explaining everything he would do. He even supplied diagrams with his explanation. Honestly, before that, I did not even know what was truly wrong with me! Even the tests I had to undergo were SO MUCH easier. The nurse practitioner, Preeti T Vyas APN, walked me through the toughest tests with ease and total trust. My robotic surgery took six hours due to the removal of a past mesh that had embedded itself in my organs. After this very complicated surgery, all I can think of is this: I am so thankful that I searched out the absolute best doctor for the job --Dr. Charbel Salamon. After the surgery, I had little pain; hence, I went through recuperation with ease. Finally, Dr. Salamons directions for after surgery were specific; I will follow them to a T! I am now a new woman! Please, if you need any type of reconstructive pelvic surgery, look no further! SD

I am a new patient of Dr Salamon"s and I was a little concerned about his patient feedback rating. I even considered cancelling my appointment, but I am glad I did not. My appointment was right on time, his support nursing and admin staff are wonderful, all of my patient history was already in the system (no pages of paperwork), and Dr Salamon conducted a thorough exam. He completely reversed the opinion of my routine OBGYN and gave me a new protocol to follow. I also understand patient frustration when I am kept waiting,..... but if I left EVERY doctor that didn't keep their schedule, I would lose some great doctors. Dr Salamon is worth the wait.

Three years ago my gynecologist referred me to Dr. Salamon. I had a severe prolapse. The bladder fell down and the intestine shifted completely from its place. Literally became detached. I had difficulty urinating. My gynecologist, who is the head of the gynecologist and obstetrician department at our local hospital, said this was the worst case he ever saw. I was terrified and afraid to leave my house. Dr. Salamon had to reschedule the surgery for a sooner date the surgery became so urgent. Before the surgery, I was bleeding, not urinating well, and stressed. The surgery was done in Morristown Memorial Hospital. It was vaginal reconstruction surgery that lasted four and a half hour. I was terrified of the surgery. But it was very successful. I stayed in the hospital for two nights. I hardly felt any pain after the surgery in the hospital or at home. I left the hospital with a catheter due to the amount of anesthesia in my body. Dr. Salamon warned me not to carry heavy items, not to… be constipated, from that day on for the rest of my life, and I followed all his instructions. Before the surgery, Dr. Salamon and I discussed whether to use a net because the surgery was so massive. I refused because I suffer from severe migraines and tend to have chronic pain and Dr. Dalamon told me that was the only side effect known of the net. Three years passed, and I just came back from a check-up at his office. Everything looks great, the bladder went down a bit but that is all.

He never even considered anything but surgery. I never felt comfortable

I was referred to Dr. Salamon by a friend who recently had successful robotic surgery with him. I am 51 and was already under the care of my primary OB/GYN and a candidate for a hysterectomy due to an extremely oversized fibroid. I was really nervous and turned to Dr. S. for a 2nd opinion. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and mannerism and I found him to be extremely thorough. Before I left his office, I scheduled my surgery because that’s how comfortable I felt. I also phoned my primary OB/GYN and she confirmed that I was in great hands. Dr. S. explained everything from the length of the surgery to the recovery time and healing process. His staff was extremely kind and sensitive to all of my needs too. I just had my post op visit and I can honestly say this was the best decision I made. I am finally on my way to being healthy again and living life to the fullest and I can’t thank Dr. S. and his staff enough.
