Dr. Charles Edward Ananian, MD

Less than zero stars. I was in for a broken foot. I was nice to him and his staff. I was in the x-ray room waiting for well over an hour for an x-ray tech to come. Dr. Ananian came in to check on me again. And I asked him when the x-ray tech would come. He said they kept calling them and I told him (calmly mind you) that it was kind of unprofessional (meaning of the tech's unit, not him), Dr. Ananian suddenly raised his voice at me, pointed his finger aggressively at me and blamed me for a cd I brought from urgent care that didn't have all the xrays on it. I don't control xrays. I was in pain with broken foot and was nice until he raised his voice at me. He said he never raised his voice, which is not true. A woman came in who handles these things and she discredited me by saying he is nice. I told her that he had not been nice to me (she was not there, no witnesses). I was so alone in defending myself. I write this review for patients to protect themselves and be careful with his… short fuse and sexism (he talks over you/ doesn't let you speak to defend yourself). I was so upset and had to defend myself against an angry doctor that wouldn't let me speak. So I was crying, upset, telling him I need care from somewhere else, that I need a lawyer (he was so aggressive and rude, I can't believe) it. And he yelled at me: "oh yeah, I have a lawyer too, in fact, you can have my lawyer's name!" and then he started to yell to his staff to get security to remove me. Meanwhile, my broken foot is exposed because they had taken the soft stint off, it was swollen, they hadn't taken X-rays to diagnose what was going on and he was yelling at me for bringing in a cd from urgent care that didn't have all the images on it that he needed. Really? He has a short fuse and discredits you right away and won't let a woman speak to defend herself against his verbal attack and invalidation, which is classic sexism. Even when I alerted him that he was being sexist to me, he made a puckered invalidating sound with his mouth and rolled his eyes. So if he tries to discredit this review, please know that this review is meant for patients only. This is so that should anything happen to you as well, you don't feel alone. And that if you want to avoid men with short fuses, then I would try another podiatrist to be on the safe side. Thanks for reading.

This is not your ordinary DPM. Dr. Ananian is the best hope you have at any chance of saving limbs from the onset and damage from the devastation of diabetes. His philosophical and medicinal discipline are of the most sound and positive approach and his dedication to his patients recovery to receive the best outcome that can be achieved in any situation gives assurance to his patients of comfort and trust. There is no doubt in his ability and no sugar-coating situations. Straight forward and to the matter at hand. He is so in tune with the latest in medical advancements and his focus is on the best outcome possible for his patients. He maintains his loyalty to his patients and his practice and will go to great measures to be a voice for the people he treats against insurance companies that want to cut corners and treatment needed to give those affected by medical issues any sense of living life on their terms and not a number or statistic.
