Dr. Charles Edward Anderson, MD

I have no idea how this man is still in the medical field. I felt like I was meeting a super villain. From the moment I walked into his office, I was berated and treated like I did something wrong. I could barely walk from my spinal stenosis. The first thing he said to me was “Well you look like you could afford to lose 100 pounds. That’ll solve it.” What?! I was in the process of losing weight, already 80 pounds down, but regardless, what doctor says that to a patient? He told me that the only option I had was to receive an epidural and it would solve all of my issues. I didn’t want a temporary fix. Unfortunately, I had to exhaust all options before surgery, but I wish they would have sent me somewhere else. I refused to let him touch me for fear that he’d purposely harm me. He is a disgusting excuse for a doctor and needs to retire asap.

Dr Anderson is by far the most rude doctor I have never met. He saw my 96 year husband for low back pain. Dr we went to see was out of office. Dr. A berated my retired professor of surgery husband saying, "I don't want to hear what you think is wrong." Keep him standing for the very uncomfortable exam and lecture. It was shocking. Please go to anyone else for your piece of mind.

HORRIBLE human being. NO ability to have compassion or any normal doctor patient interaction. Filed grievance with insurance company, they couldn't even get him to answer phone.

Narcissistic bedside manner. If u should say something that doesn't agree with him he will go utterly ballistic on u (similar to that of a little child) He makes u feel as if there is no hope for u nor you're condition. If u r really hurting with pain avoid this jerk, as he will only make u feel worse !

Rude, abusive, discourteous, condescending,bedside manner if Ghangis Kahn, and in, and on.used the same dismissive language with me as he did with the gymnast. He would make a negative comment then just stare at me. I left his office in tears feeling like I'd been run over by a steam roller. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT NOW!!!!! He should be brought before the medical board for medical malpractice!!!!

It took him a year to figure out he put it in wrong! and he won't fix it because he got payed already. and RUDE ARROGANT!

I was very optimistic about going to see Dr. Anderson for the 1st time, but I made sure I came prepared. I had ALL of my documentation on the multiple car accidents and gymnastic injuries that I have sustained over the past 15 years. I have chronic pain 24/7 and the only thing that helps ease the pain are norcos. I've had a prescription before and I know I'm not a pill addicted because I am able to keep my 30 pills for up to 6 months. I only use them if I'm in enough pain where I can't function (walk, sit, stand comfortably). I came into his office because my primary Dr. couldn't refill my RX due to new strict 'Opioid Crisis' laws; So I simply came to Dr. Anderson to refill my RX for 30 pills that will last me months. Dr. Anderson was not only extremely rude, inconsiderate, and judgemental, he accused me of being a pill addict and that "10 out of 10 patients your age will get addicted to narcotics". When I asked him about a possible back brace, he laughed in my face and said "HAHA that… would be like putting a rod on a steel door!" Then I asked him what he recommended (I had already tried going to a chiropractor, physical therapy, etc.) he said "There is absolutely NOTHING that will help your pain. You've had back pain since age 9 and you will CONTINUE to have back pain until your age 99!" I was hoping he could at least lead me in the right direction; giving him the benefit of the doubt. However, his response to me was so RUDE I left the office shaking and bursted into tears because this Dr. who was supposed to help my pain, told me I was a "lost cause" and there was nothing he could do or suggest to help me alleviate the pain besides to "live with it".

Having read some of the previous reviews and allowed myself time to cool down after my visit with Dr. Anderson, I'll be brief and to the point. I've been under the care of pain management physicians since 2000, a result of a severe motor vehicle accident and ensuing surgeries. I was forced to change pain management doctors when I moved to a different area. I'd been warned by others that Dr. Anderson's brusque, caustic and accusatory demeanor (and that's being polite) was akin to being placed in a hostile environment but NOTHING prepared me for the actual experience. I don't doubt that Dr. Anderson is knowledgeable and skilled in some areas but he most definitely lacks the ability to establish a therapeutic doctor-patient relationship. For your sake, please do not subject yourself to his practice of making false assumptions about your motives for seeing him and then making demeaning and degrading remarks about you personally.

Ive seen Dr. Anderson now for 3 or 4 years and after reading a few reviews I offer anyone new this advice: do not show up even 2 minutes late...just do not do it ... show up early. Now I had the opposite problem of many of you I was trying to reduce my medication not go up in dose. It took over a year but I was able to cut my meds in half with working with Dr Anderson and at times I had to just level off before dropping again and now I achieved a dose that works for me. I probably will never be pain free but at the same time I’m not as zombies out as I used to be. Go to this doctor and ask for what you need if legitimate and he will help you. This is probably not the doctor to go to if just trying to get some whopping prescription to pain pills and have no corroborating medical records to justify it. You need to realise that in 2019 the DEA for the most part out enormous pressure and pointed all the fingers at the doctors for the opioid epidemic in this country so it’s not even the… same as it was last year. If you need a no nonsense straightforward pain doctor , Dr Anderson will be great for you. He actually is a very caring man with some true spirituality to him he just doesn’t always let that shine through but he does know his practice better than many other pain clinics and I’m going on 20+ years from a horrific car accident.
