Dr. Charles Balette, MD

Very grateful to be under the care of Dr. Balette. He really took the time to listen and clearly ACTUALLY cares. Best doctor I’ve ever had.

Simply put, Dr. Balette is the definition of excellence.

I really like dr. Balette. Very knowledgeable. Treats his patients like they are special. He is not a doctor to send you to a bunch of specialists unless he can't resolve the issue himself...I like that a lot! Besides we are birthday buddies.... same month, day, & year!

I'm here right

I visited this office 14 years ago at 26, for a common cold. After the visit I vowed never to return. I wasn’t sure how a visit as such could turn into a creepy attempt at a prostate exam. No Sir! Years later and a relocation back into the area, Balette’s office was one of the few accepting new patients. I didn’t remember the visit years prior until Balette arrived in the patient room. I was able to finally see the MD after a 45 min wait in the waiting room, and a 1-1/2 hour wait in the patient room. This visit was to establish a primary in the area and to have meds refilled. After recognizing him I wondered how long it would be before the mention of a prostate exam. It didn’t take long at all! He buzzed over my current situation and didn’t listen well at all. It seems his mind was on his next round of questions. My questions were often cutoff. He must be receiving some sort of kickback or he’s a part of some bonus program (PQRS?). He suggested I have different… vaccines and checks performed. Then the question: “When was your last prostate exam” My reply was a year ago. I was then told “at 30 you should have them every two years and at 40 every year”. His glove was on his hand in the blink of an eye and his lubrication must have been in his jacket pocket. This man is a total creep! Needless to say, the visit was over.

Dr. Balette takes the time to explain diagnoses, medications, side-effecrs, and patiently answers questions. He answers questions in a way that patients can understand without being condescending. I really appreciate the time he takes to be thorough.

The answering service would NOT let me leave a message because I was not a patient. I was calling to inquire about being a new one, but apparently they don't want business.

His bedside manner is little to none, he doesn't listen to you or refer to your prior medical history, has no regard for a person in pain.

Dr. Balette is an extremely professional and caring physician. He takes time to listen to your complaints and administers an outstanding treatment plan. You can trust Dr. Balette to follow-up on your treatment progress. He is simply the best Family Practice Doctor on the North Shore.
