performed TKR revision on my spouse but missed a major finding, eventually a second revision was required. His ego is much larger than his skill level.

He may be an "accomplished" surgeon and a good technician, but Dr. Barnes is rude and a bully. This is confirmed by the people with whom he works. Good final result with revision TKR.

Very overconfident overpaid ($1.3 million salary pervpublic records)—failed to adequately surgically correct TKR instability, subsequent additional revision surgery was required by a better surgeon. Very disappointing experience.

Dr. Barnes discovered that I had signs of advanced Multiple Myeloma during a routine exam. He took extraordinary measures to confirm the diagnostic and get me urgent care at UAMS. Without his dedication, I would not be alive to write here today and celebrate a full remission. Thank you Dr. Barnes!

Dr. Barnes and the entire orthopedic department are simply wonderful. My mother has a total knee replacement performed last year by a different surgeon and had been experiencing pain and immobility since her initial surgery. She saw Dr. Barnes for a knee revision last week and she is already feeling much better with greater mobility; after one week! Everything from preop workup to expectations after surgery were thoroughly reviewed. The entire staff from top to the bottom were impeccably professional and caring and they all seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Dr. Barnes not only possesses the highest surgical skills but more importantly, he embodies humility and empathy that many others do not. To love what you do and to impact people the way that he does is a true gift and we will forever be grateful to him and his staff!

Dr. Barnes has performed replacement of both my hips (2012 left & 2014 right) with remarkable results. Quick recovery and return to normal activities with no issues since the surgeries. Initial diagnosis from another Orthopedic Doctor was that I needed knee replacement but at Dr. Barnes initial visit he stated there was nothing wrong with my knees thus checked and found my right hip was the problem.

Great surgeon..REALLY needs to work on his bedside manner. He is a skilled surgeon but a bit of a jerk to work with......know you are not looking for a new best friend but wow...be prepared cause you only see him for 3 minutes then you see his nurse, his PA, his whatever but not him.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Barnes. He gave me my life back freed from walker and cane. I highly recommend him and give his cards and name out at every opportunity. He replaced my botched knee replacement from another doctor and then replaced my other knee. I have done wonderful and so thankful for him and his staff. I was treated like a Queen as if I was his only patient. There is no one better than Dr Barnes.

Best surgery I have ever had. TOTAL KNEE replacement, full use of knee and a sc ar that is hardly noticeable. I recommend him to everyone who needs help
