Dr. Charles Douglas Bell, MD

After 3 years in his care, the kind, competent, empathetic man reviewers describe here is a stranger to me. The man I knew: forgot to sign prescriptions, forgot important information about symptoms and treatments, had temper tantrums and yelled at me, once asking “Why are you taking all this medication?” loud enough to hear in the waiting room, where my husband was sitting. (Well, Dr. Bell prescribed some of those meds!) He seemed impatient to finish our visits and annoyed that I was there at all. The meds he prescribed didn’t work well but he ignored my requests to try something different. Maybe he just didn’t like me. But, since we were stuck with each other, I wished he had been civil at least. I didn’t leave because it had taken me 63 calls to find a rheumatologist who would treat fibromyalgia and spinal stenosis, which are usually treated by rheumatologists. I was fired because I started smoking pot, hoping for relief. (I had forgotten signing a form promising not to, because it… never occurred to me that I would be desperate enough to try it. I’m glad to know he can finally keep his promise to “do no harm.”

Dr. Bell is a great and caring Dr. He will do everything in his power to make sure that you're feeling better. He has the best staff, they are very nice and kind.

Love this doctor. He is such a gentle soul, and the ladies in the office are so sweet and helpful. Dr. Bell knows what he’s doing!
