Dr. Charles Samuel Blackadar, MD

It’s a good thing Blackadar retired , I would have fired him as my doctor , he worked at a local clinic in Wasilla , so it was my bad luck when I walked in

What stands out most about Dr. Blackadar is his pompous and arrogant demeanor and his unwillingness to empathize with or even understand what his patients are experiencing. It is off-putting, and a serious detriment to the quality of the care he offers. He demonstrates a deplorable bedside manner, which is sure to undermine the reputation of any institution he works for and diminish public trust. This is a doctor who is in dire need of an attitude adjustment. He invalidates what his patients are reporting and feeling and fails to take their feedback into consideration, which is not at all conducive to a positive patient-physician relationship.

I have seen Dr. Blackadar, I decided after that visit that I wouldn't seek medical attention at my local hospital again if he was the physician that I would have to see. He came off as extremely arrogant, his bedside manner left much to be desired and I found him to be generally dismissive of my health concerns.

After everything that I have been through with Dr. Blackadar and the "treatments" he suggested for my current medical condition, I can't imagine ever spending another visit with him as my provider. I gave him five different chances to help with the life-threatening conditions that I was facing as a 20 something female. Most of the visits consisted of him either smirking at my suggestions or concerns I was having, or all together shutting out anything I was feeling and why. He seemed to be very ignorant to anything outside his point of view and when I told him I was becoming extremely frustrated with the amount of time and energy I was putting towards finding an answer to my condition, he answered with "your case is extremely unusual and your frustration should be taken to a Therapist". Um, excuse me? Suggesting a therapist when someone has been passed to almost a dozen Doctors (with his direction) and ended up back with their originial provider (Dr. Blackadar), without a cause or… treatment other than life altering medications that have not been successful in any way (Warfarin) is without a doubt, a very understandable reason to feel frustrated. His smirking and bothersome attitude doesn't help any situation a patient has and is horrible bedside manner. Either way, life or death, I will not spend another second listening to Dr. Blackadar's medical advise or direction.
