Dr. Charles Randall Burns, MD

The photo of him posted everywhere has to be at least 30yrs old. He seems nice enough, but he can barely walk & I can't understand at least 90% of what he says. I would absolutely switch cardiologists if I thought it could get a timely approval from Tricare. His reminder message said my appt was an hour earlier than the actual appt, & I have to wait more than 3-1/2mos for a follow-up. I know now that he was only recommended by Crestwood ER for follow-up care b/c of his affiliation with (Crestwood). It is absolutely time for him to retire. How will I even know if I have any risk to address?? He pointed out a problem with the results from his office, but even after multiple attempts at asking for clarification, I still couldn't understand his explanation at all. PLEASE find a more competent cardiologist. Dr. Burns is at least a decade beyond retirement.

My father was a patient of Dr.Burns for nearly 3 months while he underwent a cardiovascular surgical procedure. Dr. Burns was present in dad’s ICU room several times a day and was always reviewing it dad’s labs. A well thought out plan of care was initiated then tweaked for dads ultimate superior outcome.

I was told by Dr Burns that he could help me lose my 6 pound melon head and my double chinned turkey neck.. After becoming upset when I wouldnt agree to therepy he suggested.. I'm already in therapy for my back and can't afford anything else.. No compassion for patients with anxiety.. Proceed with caution

I have been seeing Dr. Burns for years. He is one of the leading, if not the best Cardiologists in Huntsville. He has always gone the extra mile to work me into the schedule and has taken excellent care of me. He genuinely cares about, and for his patients, one and all. He takes the time to explain results of tests in a manner that is understandable to lay vocabularies such as mine. He is probably the most accomplished person I have ever met. His background in medicine is vast and he continues to receive accolades for recent accomplishments. He is also an accomplished pilot of both airplanes and helicopters. Just an all around good guy. I don't understand how someone could give Dr. Burns a one star review. It is ridiculous. In my opinion, there had to be something wrong with that patients mental stability. Why else would he only have one bad review? Not only is Dr. Burns kind and attentive to his patients needs, so are all of his office staff. Best doctor I have ever… had, bar none.

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT even think about seeing this arrogant and curt doctor. He has the God complex in addition to ordering tests that are not necessary. After tests were completed, he wasn't even able to explain the results in a manner that could be understood. From what I have been told, he was asked to leave The Heart Center practice. Wish I had known before seeing him. Proceed with much caution!

The best experience I've had in receiving professional, personal medical care. Dr Burns and his staff are top notch!

Dr. Charles Burns has been my Cardiologist of choice for many years. I feel that his expertise and willingness to save lives is why I am here to write this review. I visited his new office today and was very impressed with all aspects. There was minimum wait time, Dr. Burns was very thorough, made notes to update my GP, and overall made me feel most comfortable. And, the new office area is very nice and I am very pleased.

I have been seeing Dr. Burns for many years. I recently visited his new nicely renovated office and things went smooth as silk. Prompt timing and treatment without a problem. Dr. Burns is the most energetic and I think knowledgeable Cardiologist in the area as I have had heart disease for 44 years. He has bailed me out more than once and would like to suggest anyone needing a Cardiologist to give him a try. I consider him more than a Dr. I consider him a friend.

More of a mentor than a doctor haha and he is pretty good in diagnosing sinal infections and so on

Dr. Burns gave me the adenosine test three times, apparently ignoring on my chart that I had asthma. A few months later, I suffered cardiac arrest. He knew I had some kind of "rhythm" or "electrical" problem, but I was not put on any kind of beta blocker, which was the typical treatment at the time. I have asked for my records repeatedly, but have been denied them. My gp has requested them, and has been denied them. He has refused my phone calls or to see me in an appointment. It has only been by seeing a doctor in another city that I have learned that adenoisine testing is absolutely contraindicated for asthma patients. Dr. Burns has a lovely bedside manner, and I had great trust in him. I wish he had come forward after my "sudden death"-six times in one day-and told me the truth, instead of hiding behind his partners. That has only added to my frustration and hurt my ability to heal.
