Dr. Charles Camisa, MD

Went to see Dr Camisa for a concern about a small sore on my left cheek. He immediately was concerned and took a biopsy that revealed I had a rare skin cancer. He recommended a surgeon at USF and stressed how important it was for me to get this lesion removed as it was aggressive cancer. Dr. Camisa was so helpful in giving me the information I needed and was in constant contact with me to make sure any information or further help he could provide was available to me from him. His interest in my best outcome was obvious and made me feel so confident that with his expertise and knowledge I was able. To seek the very best help on a timely basis. I owe a lot to Dr. Camisa and would highly recommend him for excellent care. I have been a patient of Dr. Camisa for many years. Recently I developed a new rash on 20% of my body. Dr. Camisa correctly diagnosed me with a rare disease that helped to start my treatment immediately. Also a great staff at Riverchase Dermatology

I went to Dr. Camisa with a bacterial infection, because I needed a bacteriologic test with antibiogram, to know what antibiotic to use. I kept calling, asking the results of the test and from his office I kept being told that the results were "pending". I kept saying that a bacteriologic test cannot be pending after a week, after ten days, then after two weeks, then after three. After three weeks and two days they finally admitted that Dr. Camisa had forgotten to prescribe the test. So I wasted three weeks with an untreated infection, because the "doctor" forgot to prescribe the test and never checked to see why the results had not arrived. But he will charge for the "visit", because he performed "the visit". He didn't do the only thing he had to do: to prescribe the test. Stay away from this so called doctor!

Ten years ago, when I first met Dr. Camisa, he was able to heal a badly burnt lip, using a healing cream and without resorting to an extremely invasive surgery suggested by the first Dermatologist I approached about this condition. I owe my quality of life to him and have recommended him to friends. He is a great Man, a kind, thorough and professional Doctor.

Dr Camisa gave me my life back. He diagnosed and treated my 30-plus year problem on my first visit. He has kept it under control for 3 years. My other dermatologists told me I would have to live with my condition. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone who has given up hope.
