Dr. Charles Vincent Coren, MD

Dr. Coren performed a tracheostomy and a g-tube placement on my premature baby, I met his PA a few days prior to the surgery and Dr. Coren the day before and that morning. He is definitely a man of FEW words, but he did allow me to ask my questions and responded to them all. After the surgery he came in and checked on my baby, told me the procedure went well and wished us luck. He came back 7 days later to examine him again. He definitely knows his stuff and the stoma looks great. I read his reviews and saw quite a few that didn’t seem too good, but I still felt him out and ultimately chose him as a surgeon, he was highly recommended. I’m glad I did.

Don’t bother asking him any questions about surgeries he will be performing, as he gets offended and sends his PAs instead of coming himself. I fear for future children and parents who will be undergoing surgeries with him.

Dr Coren spoke to my 17 year old and explained thoroughly what was wrong with him and how Dr Coren was going to correct him. He was in a rush to get to the hospital but never made us feel that way. He took his time. He answered any questions I had after our first visit on the phone and was very attentive at the hospital. His assistant also was very helpful always and checked in with us 4 times after the surgery in a 6 day period until our follow up. I highly recommend Dr Coren

Dr. Coren is an amazing surgeon. He is very intelligent and explained in detail the surgery he was performing on my 3 month old baby. He is very professional and took the time to answer all my questions. He spoke to me camly and in a respectful manner. He is caring and I am thankful that he was the one who operated on my baby. His office is friendly and inviting and his receptionist was kind and helpful.

I can't say enough on how he handled my sons case. Great Doctor !

The doctor is very caring and professional. Our infant was born with a intestinal blockage. He operated on her and did such a great job. Her scare is not even noticeable. He is very informative and explained exactly what he saw and did. The after care is awesome also. He does'nt rush things after he wants her to heal and do things step by step. He was so much better the the NICU doctors who wanted to rush . He might look very serious but underneath he has a womderful heart for kids. Speaks to you in simple language so you understand him. We would recommend this doctor to anyone.

Went in to have a procedure done on my 2 month old son. Doctor was cold, and instead of answering questions,, just kept telling me it was my choice whether to have it done (not exactly a helpful response in my decision making process.) when my son became hysterical during the procedure, I asked him where he was and how much was left. He didn't answer and then when he was done said he "could only take care of one child at a time." This guy is not nice--it's shocking that he works with kids!

Wonderful doctor, wonderful staff!
