Dr. Charles C Deroo

I initially really liked Dr. Deroo during my orthodontist treatment. However, towards the end of my service and due to terrible communication by his dental assistance, his service and decorum declined drastically. Dr. Deroo became short in his dealing with me and lacked the same compassion and understanding that he delivered during the former part of my treatment. Because of this inconsistent disposition and poor communication skills, I would not recommend anyone (as I had done previously) to this doctor.

I received an orthodontic consult during the COVID-19 pandemic (should've known better). He approached me after using hand sanitizer, put on one glove. Used one glove to go in my mouth and the other to touch my face (not cool). HE DID NOT WEAR A MASK! Isn't it standard practice to wear it? Especially at this time? I stated, "I'm uncomfortable because you're not wearing a mask and talking right over my mouth". He smiled and continued the exam, completely disregarding my concern. I should have gotten up, but felt as though I was in a vulnerable position. When the visit was complete, he shook my hand with a smug look...knowing I did not want to be touched any more. I will never work with this provider again. That is, if I get the chance.
