Dr. Charles T Dickson JR., MD

About a year ago I wrote that my dad had brought his ‘late stage’ Alzheimer’s wife with him to a routine appt. we arrived before our scheduled appt and then proceeded to wait for over two hours! I asked the girls at the desk, very nicely, what could be done and I was told twice that this is normal with Dickson. He saw my dad at five o’clock or so and gave him a bunch of self use catheters. Daddy had told him he would have like to be told by him if there was an emergency and that waiting was hard. Dr Dickson FIRED him by mail within the week! My dad is 94 and very profession so dickson’s Feelings shouldn’t have had hurt feelings. We began with a new urologist yesterday and he entered by saying” well Dickson kicked you to the curb I hear ??. We explained to this kind new man and he said ‘hmmm , that’s not what he wrote down’. Now I am mad all over again ??. I Will find out what was his written excuse was, but I must warn you if your have aged parents.

In the last 5 years I have found that Dr. Dickson runs farther and farther behind. My last appointment was an early morning appointment and I still didn't see him until about 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. This is unacceptable. My time is just as valuable as his. There are other issues now too, but I will not get into them as it would give away who I am and I don't want those possible repercussions, even though I have begun a search for a new urologist.

He saved my life...........with his expertise

Dr Dickson is an excellent doctor. He is attentive, caring, and spends all the time you need answering your questions. His nurse, Christy, is also great. At first Dr Dickson may seem lacking somewhat in personality, but he does have a sense of humor. He is a good Christain doctor.
