Dr. Evans is so hot. Oh. My. Gosh!

I was brought to piedmont er by my son two nights ago and was in much pain in my stomach and back. I had been vomiting for a few days and by then was only bringing up very thick phlegm. I thought it could be a stomach virus, but also felt it was much worse of an illness. Turns out it was a severe kidney infection and my potassium was low possibly due to all the vomiting. Dr. Evans was very thorough and consider of how bad i was feeling. The er was very, very crowded that evening and though it was so busy Dr. Evans took the necessary time to explain my condition to my children and me. I was very impressed and pleased with both his and his nurses bedside manner at a time when i was feeling so crappy. I am from out of state and when i change my doctors from new jersey to a doctor here in Georgia, I will be checking out dr evans fo my medical needs since i have many illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension.

Dr. Evans seemed a bit full of himself. He made the proper diagnosis, but it wasn't very difficult. The x-ray was pretty clear. My collarbone head snapped in two. Our first meeting was when he bounded through the closed door of the x-ray room while they were taking x-rays. He proceeded to look at the computer screen and said Yep it's broken, You can quit taking x-rays now. When I was back in the emergency room it took a long time for him to come to see me. Then all he did was suggest I put a sling on, and make an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon. Duh! He told me that gravity would heal the bone. I find that hard to believe since the break made the two pieces of bone at right angles to each other when they should be straight. The nursing staff at this hospital was terrible also. nurse Yada was extremely negative in her attitude. I couldn't even get a pillow!

I am the patient's mother. I am in the medical profession. I appreciated his efficiency. His bedside manner was good. My son had a deep cut in his arm that needed stitches. Dr Evans did a running stitch so my son will have a barely visable scar. The wound is healing well. It still hurts with rotation which I didnt expect. I liked Dr Evan's take charge and lets do this the right way attitude. Unfortunately the hospital was slow, we arrived at 2:30a and left at 9a. He had sliced through a small artery but the artery wouldnt clot. He still feels dizzy from the blood loss. I do not think Dr Evans performance should reflect the hospital staff 's slow poor attitude. . Also we will follow up with his regular physician which he requested in his d/c instructions.

Dr evans listen to needs and effectively diagnoise me.

I went to the Henry Medical Center ER on the advice of my primary care physician. I already knew that I had double pneumonia because I had a CT scan earlier the same day that showed it. When I got to the ER they took a chest X-ray. The first thing Dr. Evans said upon walking in my door was, "you don't have pneumonia." I then told him about the CT scan that I had earlier in the day and about the two previous X-rays that my doctor had taken which all showed that I had pneumonia. He didn't even listen to my lungs. He replied to that with "We;; I don't see it on my X-ray so what do you want me to do about it?" I complained about my treatment by this doctor and requested another physician but was not given one. I ended up leaving the ER still in misery and had to go back to my primary care doctor at 8am the very next morning. I will never for any reason go back to that ER.
