Dr. Charles A Fleischer, DO

I have always enjoyed helping others. This led to my desire to enter the medical field. My training included osteopathic medical school in Kansas City, an internship in Ohio, a general psychiatry residency in Philadelphia, and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in Tucson. I am board certified in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. I grew up in upstate New York dealing with snow and cold. This led to a strong desire to move to a warm, sunny climate near a beach. My family and I moved to San Diego in 1993. It was at that time that I began a private practice. I've also held a variety of staffing positions at local psychiatric treatment facilities. In 2001, I started full-time here at Kaiser Permanente so that I could focus more on patient care and less time in dealing with insurance companies.
