Dr. Charles Michael Franklin, MD

I found Dr Franklin very knowledgable and thorough.... very attentive and helped me greatly with my problem.

Missed diagnosis, incorrect treatment with allergic reaction requiring urgent care Visit. Terrible, bedside manner if diagnosis or treatment questioned. Complete waste of time.

Dr. Franklin was my third Rheumatologist that I saw. From the first appointment there was a huge difference in how I was treated and how the information was explained to me. He is so smart, humble and compassionate. I pass two other Rheumatology practices on my drive there but it is so worth my time to travel further and have someone communicate with me and not to me, treat me as a person and not a diagnosis.

Misdiagnosed RA that was clearly there on an MRI. This resulted in delayed treatment, unnecessary pain, unnecessary trips to other doctors, money wasted, time wasted, and years of progression of the disease that could have been treated. In addition to all of that, he was dismissive and acted as if he didn't want to be bothered. Thankfully another Doctor took the time to review the tests that Dr. Franklin had ordered years before.

Dr. Franklin is one of a kind. The molding was broken with him. You will not find a more compasionate dr. Caring and understanding. Always there when you need him. Spends an absorbent amount of time with you and understands your condition. Very supporative. I drive 2 and a half hours one way to see him and would drive 15hrs if I had to. Love love this dr.

I have been seeing dr. Franklin for four years now. We've had multiple up and downs over the years with different treatments and their side effects and failures. But he has never given up and as always positive that's something new well, our way to try as my symptoms progress. With other medical issues complicating the diagnosis, you never know what part you are actually dealing with at the time of each illness. But no matter what, I can portal him via email at any time and he will always get back to me usually the same day and if he is not able to one of his nurses will let me know that he will be notified as soon as he comes back and if it's something urgent they will refer it to another one of their Physicians To address. I have been truly happy seeing him and traveling an hour and a half each way to see him. It's worth every ounce of pain for the ride just to talk with him with his calm and soothing voice and caring personality. It makes difficult situation not as bad as it feels.… Even when you feel like you're giving up, he make sure he pulls you back in and gives you hope that there is something out there that will help. It's trial and error and the same treatment is not the same for everybody as everybody symptoms are different and everybody's treatment is different. I highly recommend him and have referred him to other patients of mine in the same situation. Even though I feel like I have plateaued with treatment, I still continue to talk with him, pick his brains and try new things because one of these days something's going to work and if it wasn't for his persistence, I would have given up already. You will absolutely love him as I do.

It is a long term or marathon of a relationship for this illness of Rheumatoid Arthritis and therefor a conversation is held at each visit on how I am doing as a person including how I feel and what I have accomplished between appointments. Because what I am looking for and, what I get from Dr. Franklin is guidance and encouragement on how to lead a higher quality life while dealing with a chronic, often painful and progressive disease. I have never had a bad visit and feel the office as a whole functions pretty efficiently.

Arrogant, speaks unprofessionally about his rheumatology colleagues and peers and raves about himself. Total fool!

I have been a patient of Dr. Franklin's for 20 years and have never been disappointed with the quality of care that I have received. He is a competent, caring physician who is dedicated to improving the lives of his patients.

Dr. Franklin keeps your individual best interest in mind. With a chronic illness and frequent treatment and office visits involved Dr Franklin continues to make you be seen and feel like your needs are very important. He does not make you feel rushed and responds via email to inquiries between visits.
