Dr. Charles Edward Holt, DO

Darin Smith is possibly the world's most amazing PAC. Not sure why he doesn't just finish his degree because he dwarfs most doctors with degrees with his knowledge, care, and professionalness. No complaints on him at all but the office staff to make a appointment to get in is like a grumpy bear. Thier billing in my opinion is shady at best many times taking them 6 months to get my insurance billed then wanting me to pay right now. If you have any sort of a balance to pay don't ever think they will help you even if your paying a good installment they will not return your calls ever, renew your prescriptions if you even have a $20 balance no matter how important they are, or treat you well again. I owed less than $300 and due to my budget paid it in 3 installments on time each month. They refused to refill my prescriptions even when the pharmacy contacted them. I LOVE the awesome care from Darin Smith he has saved my life and from his care feel better than I have in years but… fighting through the awful office staff and the shady billing makes me very angry to the point we are considering leaving. We always pay our bills in full and never have said a unkind word to the office staff yet they treat me like I'm a huge problem! In the 5 years we have been going here I have never even met Dr. Charles Holt. I saw him once but still couldn't pick him out of a line. All I can say is its too bad Darin doesn't go to a better office because he is just simply amazing and is the ONLY reason I have put up with the Horrible treatment from the rest this long. I spoke to him about them and he said he was sorry they are awful but he has no management over them or anything to do with billings. So, Perhaps Dr. Holt needs to fire the office staff and manage his office better before someone goes to the state and launches a massive medical malpractice and billing investigation! I'm about to be that one person but I'm afraid of harming Darin career!! He is WAY too good of a "Dr" PAC for this office!! Nevertheless God works through his hands to care for his patients. Probably why we all have to plow through actual negative treatment in the rest cause Darin gives treatment unfound in Doctors today and as close to heavenly care there is on earth. Short, sweet, blunt, no monkeybusiness, answers all, educates, doesn't waste my time, and I feel the results!! THANK YOU DARIN!! Office staff no cmoment further.....

Most ridiculously incompetent office I have ever interacted with. They don't answer their phone during business hours and have a message saying to call back during normal business hours. I tried calling on a Tues, Wed, and a Fri. at noon, 2 and 9 am and they didn't pick up or return my messages. Their hours aren't posted online so there is no reliable way to get a hold of them. It is extremely frustrating to listen to the recording tell you to call back during normal business hours when you are doing so. After a week and a half I finally got a hold of someone and they told me they'd talk to the dr. and promised multiple times to call me back that same day to set up an appointment. They never called back. It's been a week and I can't get a hold of them yet again.

I have been seeing Dr. Holt for over twenty years. But the last few years I have been gettingt Darren Smith. He is very rude and only spends a couple of minutes with me. Seems like he us always in a hurry and has a bad attitude. Last time I was there he threw my prescriptions in my face and told me to quit smoking. I know I should, but a doctor should be more professional than he is. The staff seems absolutely careless and the waiting room is old and unkempt. I am looking for a new doctor and would never recommend thus office to anybody.

I can't speak for Dr. Holt as I have only met with Darin Smith, the P.A. I have had horrible experiences with Darin and the office staff. They treat me like I am a drug dealer and a criminal when I need to refill my prescriptions. It's not like I am calling up weekly to refill narcotics!!! I would not recommend this office unless you can handle snooty office staff that make you feel unwelcome when you call/walk-in and angry when you leave or want to fill a prescription.

I moved to Tooele and brought copies of a few of my medical records with me at my initial visit. Dr. Holt stated that it was a good idea to bring only the most important records because he throws away medical records if patients bring in huge files! Overall, I did not find my experience to be satisfactory and I will look for another doctor.

My Wife, children and I have been going to Dr. Holt for 7 years. Dr. Holt is a very good doctor and is good at what he does.The problems we have are with his administration staff. We have had issues with this staff to get an appointment. They are rude and seem to not care. The only thing they care about is that they get MONEY and all of it before they want to work with you. When calling for an appointment they make you feel like your bothering them.We really like the doctor but can't handle the front office staff so we won't recommend him due to the front staff.

Dr. Holt is great! He took the time to explain everything to me. He was very kind and caring. He answered all my questions. He was even willing to call me and answer questions I thought of after my office visit. Great bedside manner!
