Dr. Charles Nicholas Ippolito, MD

his phone system is terrible, and the staff members he currently have on board are lazy, will every so often call patient and leave a message to return the call to ofc and they most the time do not leave there name. i have experienced multiple times poor call time, trying to get thru and placed on hold for an elongated period of time to no avail. i have been placed on hold for a time @ 52 mins and 58 seconds with no one answering the call. when one does answers, which in my case is rarely, they will as the same redundant questions such as your name, your birthday, your phone number and address while all along they have the information right up on the computer screen. its not necessary to continue to ask the same redundant questions over and over, then transferred to another person who never answers the phone. since the pandemic I have experience patients with underline health conditions such as myself are placed to the back burner and their situations as to why they are calling is… not taken with extreme seriousness. Personally, I feel us with ongoing health issues will not get the help we are so respectfully needed and we will continuously be held in the delay, unimportant que. I have been with this Doctor for several years and found him to be one of the most dedicated to his patients, however recently I feel unimportant as well as my healthcare. When I am calling his office, make note i am not calling to waste his or my time but that I am calling for legitimate service to the health care concern I am addressing. His staff needs to return back to the training table to learn the proper understanding of professionalism, proper telephone communication, learn to respect and treat ALL patients with dignity. More importantly, quit trying to convince the doctor that they are diligently performing their job...how would he know if he is back in the examining room taking care of in office patients and he cannot witness what his staff is doing or not doing upfront or thru out the perimeter of the office. (doctor don't know what doctor can't see) He needs to be more attentive, alert to his staff as well.

I asked him for a time off work because I fell at work on my back and injured my back, my employer requested documentation from Dr Ippolito which I requested and did not get. I applied for Workmans Comp and he told me he didn't do Workmans Comp.

Dr. Ippolito is not a bad doctor (although Via Health is a terrible company), the problem is his staff. They are rude, unprofessional and condescending. I don't think this is Dr. Ippolito's fault, rather Via Health's. It's shameful, that Medicaid patients are exposed to so much discrimination, by an unqualified staff, who have no business working in the medical profession.

I use to be a patient of Dr. Ippolito and felt very uncomfortable with him and when I asked to come back to the group after leaving because of him i was refused and found out later he was the person who refused me since he is the head doctor there. This shows me how his behavior really was after taking my decision to stop seeing him as my doctor personal!
