Dr. Charles Peter Katopes, MD

I have been to several Gastroenterologists over my 77 years and I have been totally pleased with the care and interest Dr. Katopes and his entire staff have given to both me and my wife. He and his staff both take the time to explain everything in easy to understand wording and take the time to answer your questions without the feeling that you are being rushed out. I would highly recommend Dr. Katopes, his staff and Digestive Health Specialists to anyone in need.

I have had a lengthy and horrible experience with Novant Health Digestive Health Specialists. After months and months of needless appointments to pad my bill and expensive tests I finally received a diagnosis. I was put on several medicines that did not work (I recognize this was not their fault) and kept having to go back for more needless appointments and more expensive tests. Hoping for more treatment options I continued down this track only to be told in the end that they could not do anything for me because it’s “merely stress”. Multiple times now the doctor has directly contradicted what the imaging center said and now I’m left with practically no way to nourish myself and towering medical bills. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed and will never return to this office.
