Dr. Charles Reuben Korrol, DO

I saw this doctor for a few years until he moved locations. He was knowledgeable, honest, and supportive. He helped you recognize the positive in yourself but was also honest in what needing working. He even offered to be accessible for support after he moved.

I was a patient of Dr Korrel between 1985-2005. What I remember about him is that it was easy to talk to him, but yes he can be blunt, but those are the things i needed to work on. You leave each apt with a sense of "getting somewhere" in your recovery. I have to say that he went out of his way to make sure I got the best doctor and care while I spent some time in the hospital during a very difficult divorce. He also was very accurate about what medicine to give me right off the bat. I highly respect him for his intelligence and skill in his profession. I relocated to another state, other wise he still would be my doctor.

I worked with dr korrol after leaving a different psychiatrist who seemed very impersonal, disinterested, and uncaring. Korrol was everything i was looking for after i left the other doctor; he is very kind and insightful and wants to know more about me as a person, not just a patient. He's very wise and very curious to find out more about you. He is much better at creating a closer bond than most psychiatrists ive had and even is better than my psychologist sometimes. He's shown care even towards my other non-psychological health problems in life and doesnt hesitate to give some advice about it. He's also a good listener, and if you have a lot to say he will let you talk and always addresses each concern you brought up. He can be blunt however, but i find that perfect as i value honesty over sugarcoated interactions. Even though he can be blunt you can tell he does it w/ understanding and empathy, and is not forceful or rude about it. For those who prefer keeping a far distance from… their psychologist, korrol might make you uncomfortable, but he's dealing w/ your emotions and mind, so i think the honesty helps.

HE IS THE MOST CARING DR -ESPECIALLY PUTTING UP WITH ME ALL OF THESE YEARS......THERE IS A TRUST/CONFIDENCE IN HIM THAT IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE WHICH I DO NOT HAVE WITH OTHERS.......AND I KNOW THAT HE WON'T ABANDON ME NO MATTER WHAT............HE IS ALWAYS THERE IF I NEED HIM.......

he's a good doctor but sometime crosses line with comments that are not about his patient.
