Dr. Charles Albert Mattison

This dentist and his office are so unprofessional I don't even know where to start. I was looking for an in-network dentist and found Dr. Mattison on my insurance's website. I found great 5 star reviews on Yelp, so I gave the office a call. I told the receptionist I wanted to schedule a checkup and cleaning for me and my son. It should have been a red flag that the were appointments available the next day. When we arrived, there was no one at the front counter, so we signed in and sat down. When the receptionist finally came out and took my information, I asked him if they were running on schedule, because that didn't seem to be the case. He said we'd be called in 5 to 10 minutes. Fast forward a half hour, my son was called in. The dentist did an exam and x-rays, but no cleaning. He wanted to schedule him to come back on another day for the cleaning. I reminded the receptionist that I scheduled an appointment for a checkup AND cleaning for both of us. He apologized, but by then… we'd be in there for over an hour, I hadn't been seen, and we were not going to get the services that we came for. We left and will not be going back. Additionally, the office is raggedy, the receptionist is inept, and they are slow. There are no hygienists or medical assistants, so apparently the doctor does everything, which explains the wait. I will go back to my out-of-network dentist and pay the cost rather than risk having this experience again.

Doctor yells at you while dental tools are in your mouth and the so-called receptionist is unacceptably lazy and unprofessional...too lazy to speak when entering the office, I was surprised when he went in and sat behind the desk.
