Mitzelfeld, D.C., Dr. Chuck, as his patients refer to him, is a multi-generation Florida native whose family was the first to settle on the shores of Lake Okeechobee. He was born in Gainesville, raised in Satellite Beach until the age of 12 then moved to West Palm Beach where he currently resides. Dr. Chuck enjoys spending time with his two children, Cody and Carly. Growing up in South Florida made him an avid outdoorsman; hunting and fishing every chance he gets. Being a huge sports fan, he has played and coached: Baseball, Football, Basketball, Track and Tennis. Additionally, he was recently contracted by the state of Florida as a nuisance alligator trapper.Passion for ChiropracticDr. Mitzelfeld’s passion for West Palm Beach chiropractic has grown over the past 20 years as he has seen the public trend move more towards healthy living. At Foundation Chiropractic Clinic, we see patients starting off with one prescription and then going on another to help with the side effects of the first then another. This practice is a downward spiral to total dependence on pharmaceutical intervention. So many lives have been made better.Chiropractic EducationAfter graduating high school from The Kings Academy in 1975, Dr. Chuck attended Palm Beach Junior College for one year, transferred to The University of Florida to earn his Bachelors and finally received his masters in 1985 by graduating with honors as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. His postgraduate studies include: Spinal Trauma, Cox Intersegmental technique for treatment of disc injuries and certification in Manipulation Under Anesthesia. In addition, several years ago, Dr. Mitzelfeld received a CCST (certified chiropractic spinal trauma) certification. This achievement has given him a broader scope in dealing with neurologic and disc problems.A Chiropractor Who Helps Others!He is a member and past board member of Florida Chiropractic Association, ACA Council on Roentgenology, National Association of Disability Evaluating Professionals and Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Chuck is always involved with numerous sport teams and civic organizations. He has been a member of the Airboat, Halftrack & Conservation Association since 1988 and coached Little League Baseball from 2000-2004. Additionally, he is the athletic physician for The Kings Academy , The Chili Chicks Dance Team, Team Chiropractor Palm Beach Atlantic University.Dr. Mitzelfeld has seen thousands of patients over the past 26 years with the full spectrum of neurologic, orthopedic and pathological diseases.
