Dr. Charles Joseph Moreau, MD

Dr. Moreau seems to form his own opinions without much actual discussion withhis patients. I was greatly discouraged by his jumping to conclusions about my medications without even asking what they were.

Dr Moreau spoke with other family members about me, even though I had not signed a release for him to discuss me with anyone. This seems like a clear HIPAA violation on his part, and it really hurt me, along with his other behavior. I believe he can be dangerous to people who are in an emotionally vulnerable state. I believe he spoke to someone about me before seeing me, creating a hostile environment and attitude toward me. I believe this because he had strong, but inaccurate assumptions about me that made no sense, unless someone had given him misleading information about me prior to me seeing him. His demeanor felt very cold, he interrupted me several times, during the recounting of some very personal events in my life, in which he insinuated that I would use to manipulate our therapy. It was very bizarre and traumatic. I mentioned that I had thoughts of suicide in the past, and he only assumed that I might use that to manipulate him. It was very hurtful and confusing,… and DANGEROUS. A mental health professional should never play games or dismiss suicidal thoughts. He may have good credentials, but I would stay far away. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my life.

I think he is a tremendous doctor. He is compassionate, understanding, and interested.

So caring. So empathetic. Admits when he's wrong...doctors do that?!?!?! Honestly, just so great. Highly reccommend him.

I firmly believe Dr. Moreau disseminated confidential information about me to other parties,doing substantial harm. If you want a physician who understands the importance of protecting his patient's privacy, he's not the one.

I've been to numerous psychiatrists and therapists...and I work in the field. He really is one of the best.

Dr. Moreau is what a true doctor is supposed to be. He is knowledgeable, understands and truly cares about your well being. Visiting Dr. Moreau was one of the best decisions I've ever made. He is a real professional in his field.
