Dr. Edwin Polk earned his Master of Science degree (M.S.D.), Magna Cum Laude in the specialty of orthodontics from St. Louis University Orthodontic School, his dental degree (D.D.S.) from Baylor Dental School and a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University.
After serving as a major in the U.S. Air Force as an orthodontist at Ramstein Air Force Base in West Germany, Dr. Polk established his private practice in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  He has served on the Stillwater Board of Education from 1987 to 1992, serving as president from 1991 to 1992, and was active in the Frontier Rotary Club from 1976 to 1999, serving as president from 1986 to 1987.
A member of numerous orthodontic organizations, boards and foundations, Dr. Polk’s passion for orthodontics and  teaching is reflected in several of his associations:                       Â

Through his association with the orthodontic organization, Dr. Polk has presented programs at several national and regional conferences, four orthodontic courses in France, two lectures in Italy and has published five orthodontic articles concerning diagnosis and treatment. His most detailed and original article, published in the national journal of the American Association of Orthodontists, is “A New Index For Evaluating Horizontal Skeletal Discrepancies and Predicting Treatment Outcomes.â€Â Dr Polk was certified in 2009 and has been using Laser technology to aid in orthodontic treatment with great success.
