Dr. Charles Craig Rudy, MD

I went to the ER for a pretty badly fractured finger. Dr. Rudy barely looked at the X-Ray before just splinting it incorrectly and sending me home. I met with a hand surgeon a few days later where the X-Ray showed it was broken significantly worse because Dr. Rudy didn't split it correctly. Original injury happened on a Saturday, follow up with the surgeon was 2 days later on Monday. Dr. Rudy needs to go back to medical school. My son's wrestling coach would have splinted it better. I required extensive surgery to fix the injury. He should not be practicing emergency medicine if he couldn't even splint a fracture correctly.

Dr. Rudy was my child's ER doctor a few months back. One of his first questions was if my child was up-to-date on vaccines. I answered honestly and informed him that our child's pediatrician is working with us on his vaccination schedule. As soon as he heard me say he was not fully up-to-date his manner changed and he was very patronizing and did not ask any other questions related to my child's reason for being in the Emergency Room. I did not care to get into it with him at the time because my child was suffering . He quickly made the assumption that I was an uneducated anti-vaxxer (which funnily enough is not the case) and his entire demeanor changed. I am 100% sure he would not have acted the same way if my husband had joined us in the room. Unfortunately, this doctor allowed his bias and assumptions to dominate the short 5 minute exam with my child and we did not get the care he deserved.
