After having an insensitive surgeon perform two surgeries for my melanoma cancer, it was so refreshing to have Dr. Scoggins. I would highly recommend him. He is highly knowledgeable and skilled in his profession. He takes time to make sure you are comfortable. You don't feel as if you're just "another number". Takes time to answer all questions. Seems to understand things from the patients perspective. Very personal.

After being diagnoised with a soft tissue sarcoma I saw Dr. Scoggins. He was very attenitive to my concerns, explained all the the possible outcomes from the removal of the tumor and even took into consideration my lifestyle for followup care. The surgery was difficult and he was honest in his description of lifestyle changes and modifications for post of care. He even took the time to personally phone me back to answer post op questions. He is frequently shadowed by student doctors and seems to be an excellent instructor. His staff show great care and concern for me and respect for him.

I had cancer in my pancreas and the outlook was not good. Dr Scoggins did whipple surgery on me in 2010 and I went home after 8 days in the hospital. It was not all that bad! I did have to change my diet a little bit afterwards, and the chemo and radiation after surgery was hard, but I am alive and cancer-free 3 years later! Dr Scoggins and his staff are the BEST! He's a great doctor and a Christian. Go see him if you have cancer in your pancreas!

Dr. Scoggins told me that he could remove the cancer from my liver that had spreaded from my gallbladder...and he did--successfully! This was over 2 years ago. He is a sincere and caring individual and not only that, but very knowledgeable about this type of cancer. His assistant is also very understanding about my needs and is always willing to help. I highly recommend this doctor as a retainer.

Dr Scoggins operated on a leomyoscarcoma on my husband. The outlook was not good. We were told he wouldn't survive, being 65 yrs. of age and a large tumor. He had tremendous complications during an 11 or 12 hr. surgery. if it weren't for drs. Scoggins and Ross, my husband would not have survived. They could have given up but did not. We are truly grateful!
