Dr Charles Bennett Shana

Been having abdominal pain for almost 1 year, no answers or relief and just more appts for nothing. Should've known when at my first appt I wanted over an hour just to get called in and then waited another half an hour once in the exam room. No bedside manner, no apology for the ridiculous wait time and just seems like you are bothering him by being there. See someone else, seeing Dr Shana is a waste of time

My overall experience with Dr. Shana was very good. I was referred to him for a colonoscopy. I have never had an office visit but the office staff I worked with on the phone was very courteous and efficient. He was late for my procedure, but when he arrived, he was very friendly, gave me all the info I needed about what would happen and when and what I could expect. After the procedure, he came in and gave me a review of the procedure and the polyp removed. I had no need of any follow ups after the procedure. Another note: I had had surgery a month earlier, and so had a tender incision I was worried about. Dr. Shana worked with me on how to avoid discomfort or injury of that incision during the colonoscopy. Overall, very professional and friendly. My situation did not call for huge amounts of interaction, but I was very satisfied.

Dr. Shana seems quiet and efficient. He did not spend alot of time with me in any visit, but I always got all the information I needed and he communicates clearly. "No wasted words". Maybe this has something to do with the ease of getting the appointment, and relatively short wait times. I was first referred to him for colonoscopy/endoscopy (a two-fer) five years ago, he removed some polyps and diagnosed the hiatal hernia that was the source of reflux that had been causing throat irritation for several years - kudos, there. I went once to his office which was mobbed, but even so only waited about 15 minutes. Referred again recently for follow-up colonoscopy at SurgiClinic, everything went smoothly. Again he did not spend much time with me while I was awake, but not any reason to. Staff was couteous and professional, I waited about 30 minutes for the procedure.

he is a bad man, that has power to make your life harder for his personnel satisfaction. i cannot go into why because i fear more retribution my way. Be WARNED, stay away from him!!!!
