Dr. Charles Edward Smaha, DDS

I would like to be honest and say that if I could go back 5 years ago, I would not have taken him to Dr. Charles Smaha senior. He put braces on both my son's father and grandmother and because of this I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt despite negative comments that I have heard about him in the past. He has super nice staff that have always greeted my son politely but you don't receive the same hospitality from him. He's pricey and the quality of his work isn't up to par as maybe it once was. I've spent over $11,000 in braces for my son and the day my son got his braces off, 4 hours later his permanent cemented retainer had broken and came out of his mouth. I called the office and scheduled a time and day to have it put back in and was told upon arrival that because he did not have the broken wire with him, I was going to have to pay $232 dollars for a replacement retainer/wire. Not a regular retainer, a simple 1" wire that's glued to the back of your teeth. Because… they don't make permanent impressions to remake the wire from, they're disposable, I would have to pay for those impressions to be made all over again. In addition to this, I am not pleased with the overall progress and results of my son's teeth after having braces on for 5 years. I would not recommend Dr. Smaha senior to anyone, you may have better luck with his son. I cannot comment on his behalf because I have no experience with him.

I would not recommend dr smaha's orthodontist's practice (the office is on 151 Pierce Ave,Macon,GA). He was very abrupt and rude after having lost my mold dental that i gave to his office. The mold is one of the dental record that I brought from my country so is really important thing for me. His staff was curt and not as helpful as I expected. Saddened this is the impression of American doctors that i have now. Please be careful with this CRAZY DOCTOR and i really don't everyone would got the same bit experience as mine. He is A LIAR, JERK!!! My rating for dr smaha orthodontist is ZERO!!!!..
