Charles L. Stockwell, O.D., a third-generation optometrist, joined Texas Tech Physicians in 2010 providing routine and specialty eye and contact lens exams at the Texas Tech Eye Clinic. A licensed therapeutic optometrist, he completed his undergraduate degree and received his optometry degree from the University of Houston in 1974. He has been active in Boy Scouts, Jaycees, Lions Club, and Nursing Home Exams for the Elderly. In 1979 he was Texas Young Optometrist of the Year and in 2013 - 2014 received the Geriatric's Teaching Scholar Grant.

Dr. Charles Stockwell was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed my visit with him, I believe he was one of the few eye doctors that I can honestly say that explained to me about what condition my eyes were in… yes I will go back to see him

I've been going to Dr.Stockwell for a few years now, he is very loving an compassionate with his patience. Dr.Stockwell always make sure that you walk out of his office with the knowledge you need to take care of your eyes.

Dr Stockwell is excellent as what he does & gives the best Rx for hard to read eyes. He is so good that I pay cash out of network to see him because the providers on my insurance plan cannot give me a correct prescription. Wonderful bedside manner is a plus! His office staff are very proficient at getting you in on time.

Awesome!! Amazing Dr that pays attention to detail and caught a lot of things that I had no clue!! Great personality!!! Great at showing you what is good or not so good in your eyes. He helped with checking my eye health before starting medicine for Lupus. Also saw I was just starting to get cataracts and how he would help me keep up with my eyes. Thank you Dr Stockwell!!!!

Dr Stockwell was very welcoming and has an awesome attitude he took the time to talk to each one of my children about there vision one on one and answered any questions we had. Our experience was 100% out of 100%
