Dr. Charles Strober, MD

I had a very good experience with Dr. Strober until I was diagnosed with Lupus by him. He felt confident in my treatment and didn’t refer me to a Rheumatologist. Initially, I was fine with this. Until, as a nurse, I know that getting a second opinion never hurts. My friend told me about her Rheumatologist, so I made an appointment and followed up with her. The Rheumatologist ran extra labs that Dr Strober didn’t and also increased my medication based on my weight. When Dr Strober found out I went to see a specialist, he became upset with me and voiced his frustration. He told me he wasn’t treating me any different and that I wasted his time. As a medical professional, I was very shocked with how he handled himself and as a patient I was upset. Patients have rights and he let his ego and pride get the best of him that day. My Rheumatologist even told me he was wrong and said that he should apologize. I’m still waiting for that apology and have since left his practice and gotten a new… PCP.

I think it’s a very important thing that most large groups require a mandatory retirement age for physicians. At a certain point in time they do not just stay current in modern treatments nor diagnosis of issues. Dr Strobers Management of care for my wife over the last three years has been nothing more than a potluck of different medications that he has been trying with zero follow up or conversation with the patient to find out about family history, daily exercise, or even daily diet. If he had taken the time to have a discussion with my wife she would realize all of these medications that she is on is having no positive affect to the condition she originally went in for.

He practices very conservatively. His greatest strength is that he doesn't over-treat. Medications are kept to a minimum, as required, and doses low. He'll not be popular with hypochondriacs.

I love Dr. Strober - He is the most wonderful physician I've ever had. He's not once misdiagnosed me. He cuts to the chase, doesn't order unnecessary tests, tells you what he thinks you should/should not do or take without trying to sugar coat it. He's a straight shooter and a No-B.S. kind of man. I absolutely adore him and if you're serious about your health, this is the man to see. I hope he never retires because I don't know what I will do without him. I simply cannot say enough good things about him. All of his staff are wonderful too! This medical practice so far outshines the competition, that they shouldn't even be considered competition.

DR. Strober along with his staff are excellent and proficient. Any time there is a need to speak to the Dr, there is no long exausting wait for a call back. There aren't too many MD's left that haven't been monopolized into some type organization were you are known by an account number and not your name. Dr STrober calls you back himself even answers his own office phone. He is very informative and has been spot on when it comes to my medical complaints. If you want proper care, quality, efficiency and a Dr. when you need one that will always be there for you and not leave you hanging, I reccomend him highly.

He's a doctor who takes his time with his patients.Refered patient to specialist based on feelings of patient. Because of listening, cancer was foung in very early stages & treatment on patient was a lot easier on patient than it could have been.I recomend him to anyone who needs a Dr with good MEDICAL skills & a terrific bedside manner.

I have been going to Dr. Strober for almost 20 years. I am very pleased with him. I think he is a very good doctor.

Dr. Strober and his office are professional, and very helpful. Dr. Strober spends about 15 minutes with you after your examination/treatment in his office going over previous or current test results and helping to plan your future health goals. overall a great doctor!
