Dr. Charles Edwin Thomas, MD

Everyone has an off day, and that is what I chalked my first visit up to. Then I had my second visit and it was just as bad if not worse. I have never been treated as rudely as I was treated by this doctor’s office. The staff was extremely rude, ill-mannered and unprofessional. When I was first referred to this office, I was rescheduled three times, by the doctor, but I was treated as though I was the one doing the changes. On one occasion I received a notice that my appointment had been changed but not date was given to let me know when it had been changed to. I called the office and was sternly told that the doctor has other patients and that sometimes emergencies come up. I tried to explain that I was not complaining, yet, but that no date for the new appointment was given and I was just trying to get my calendar updated. I have spent in the last three years around six to seven hours waiting either in the waiting room or in the exam room and in that same time… period I would say that I have spent less than 20 minuets with my doctor. I know that I am not the only patient, but common courtesy should not be dismissed and common decency of spending a few moments with your patient to better understand why they are there would be nice.

As a physician I am embarrassed for the poor quality of the front office staff. They are abrupt, disorganized, slow and inaccurate. Appointments that have been cancelled months previously are still listed as active and new appointments never reminded. So far 6 months waiting to see the man

Dr. Charles Thomas is very professional, yet has a very personable personality,always willing to listen and prescribe best medication for whatever your situation. Always prompt and courteous, and his staff are on top of their game, never a long wait to see Dr. Charles Thomas. He makes you feel as though you are his only patient, your number one in his book. Nephrology is his specialty, 29 years in practice.
