Dr. Charles Tompkins was born in Morristown,TN and grew up in Greeneville,TN where he lived until the age of 15. He then moved to North Carolina where he graduated high school and went on to North Carolina State University for his undergraduate studies followed by the completion of Dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982. Dr. Tompkins came to Harrogate that same year and opened his practice on September 5, 1982 and has been in practice here since that time. He attends Pump Springs Baptist Church where he teaches a 3rd & 4th grade sunday school class and sings in the choir. He has three children Morgan 29, Chad 23, and Samuel 6, and two grandchildren Arianna 7, and Levi 2. Dr. Charles Tompkins enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids and going on mission trips as opportunities come available to help those in need in our area and throughout the world.
