not good bad communicator not understanding

I am puzzled over the bad reviews; Dr. Wagner has been my doctor for almost 3 years and I am really pleased. He has been extremely thorough and a very honest and caring doctor. I have experienced some medical issues in my senior years and he has really helped me to progress health wise. This doctor will not over medicate his patients and takes an interest in your well being. UPMC should be confidant that his goal is to the benefit and good health of his patients.

I don't know about the bad reviews on this physician, but he has been nothing but kind, respectful and has taken very good care of me with my health issues. I was in quite large amount pain and he was able to diagnose me and prescribe me appropriately. He listens and is honest demeanor is very comforting. I am very happy with this Doctor. His staff is very kind and friendly. His exam rooms are clean and they are very organized there.

This Dr. Is very rude unprofessional and a real youknow. he was very dirty and unkept . he is not working in a mill. Take a bath really. Has the bedside manner of a farm animal. He needs professional help with anger. It rea!ly shows his inexperience. If you want to be treated like a person see another Dr. Not this guy. RUN .

Dr. Wagner is wonderful. Very thorough, asks a lot of questions. Fact checks. I was very impressed.

Dr wagner is wonderful! I'm not sure how there are bad reviews on here for him, he is my doctor and I've seen nothing but a caring, sincere, well educated doctor....I've had small health issues that he has alays addressed them properly and professionally.

Let me first say, since Dr. Wagner "works for the hospital" and doesn't have private practice, it would be in UPMC's best interest to sever ties with this physician. Myself and my husband both have been patients of Dr. Wagner. My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago with esophageal cancer, and I'm glad to say that now, is cancer free. After his extensive surgery and months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments he is doing well and is back to his normal every day activities. After the surgery and treatments he went to Dr. Wagner for a general visit to be established as a patient. During this visit, I was also present and witnessed what to me, was the most unprofessional, un knowledgeable, rude and ignorant treatment ever by a physician. My husband was concerned about his cholesterol being borderline, and Dr. Wagner proceeded to tell him the "Statistics of esophageal cancer" stating that he wouldn't bother to check it, or put him on medication, because people who have this will only… live 2-5 years.Let me tell you as a wife who had been by her husbands side since day 1 of surgery through countless treatments and has witnessed the good and bad, this was very hard to hear, especially when you know all the other doctors are telling you that things are going well. I have one thing to say to Dr. Wagner, here we are three years later and my husband is doing well, cancer free- through no help from you. He has had very wonderful care and physicians from thoracic surgeons, oncologists,pulmonary specialists, and radiologists within the Jameson system and may I tell you, that not one of them has ever said something so rude and off the wall as you. You have absolutely no bedside manner, and obviously little knowledge of what you are talking about. You need turned in for your behavior. Jameson/ UPMC needs to unload you. You give them a bad name. The group of specialists he has had have more knowledge and education than you will will ever have so, I'll take their reccomendations over yours any time.

He was very thorough with my labs. My last two drs. would send me for labs but never followed thru with them. My first visit I wasn't too sure if I liked him he wasn't real friendly but my last two visit he was very nice and concerned about my labs and issues. I will continue to see him and I would recommend him to others. He is a dr that will tell you just the way it is and not beat around the bush. I am glad I went to him.

I found this man to be a disgrace to the medical profession. I was told to bring in all past medications and after he looked at them he more or less accused me of being addicted to them. He asked why I was still in pain after a severe injury in a car accident two years ago. Guess he never heard of chronic pain. He asked why I still had pain after breaking my hip three months ago. Gee, maybe because it takes six to twelve months to heal from a broken hip. The pain medication that i was previously taking had been prescribed by a legitimate pain clinic physician. I told him I wanted no pain medication from him I just wanted him for my primary care physician and for stomach ulcer medication and for referrals if needed. He said he would not take me as a patient. He was rude, cold, uncaring, arrogant and condescending. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone, even my worst enemy. Be advised, this is NOT the person you want as your physician!

I think dr. wagner is great,, spends alot of time getting to know you. . I dont know what happened with the other reviews that are bad,, but I have been to him a few times. and i thin he is great
