Dr. Charles Jeffrey Weiss, MD

I have been very satisfied with this professional relationship. He makes himself available when immediate attention is needed and I have been very pleased with all the specialists he has recommended over the years. He is also very good at explaining the results of various tests, he or other doctors order. I will miss him when he retires.

Dr Weiss always remembers me from one year to the next. He is thorough and spends plenty of time asking me questions to evaluate any changes since my last physical. He also has a top-notch nurse.

I would assume Dr Weiss suffers from burn out..However I imagine he has always been miserable, and possesses the personalty of a fence post..I found him rude and having the Medical knowledge of a Walgreen Greeter, (maybe he should retire to this position)when I inquired about suggestions regarding, losing weight, he suggested I stop eating, giving me no assistance/suggestions regarding diet,nutrition or other alternatives.I asked him about my chronic Psoriasis He stated it was way beyond, his "knowledge base". I have since found a genuinely, caring and knowledgeable MD. I have lost over 70+ LBS, My chronic skin condition has all but dissipated, my blood pressure is normal and I feel great. The MD spends in upwards of 1/2 hr to 45 minutes with me(unlike Weiss who would walk in and scribble a few words on a pad and exit 5 minutes later). I would suggest to anyone looking for an MD to look much farther then Dr Weiss...Maybe Dr Weiss has suggestions on which type of fly to use while… fishing for Trout...........

When dealing with the elderly it is extremely important to be really honest about what needs to be done and go into some sort of detail about why you are taking what you are taking in meds. Also think it would be a good idea to write this down so that the older people can refer to it when they get home since sometimes they don't remember.
