Dr. Charles Joseph Whalen, MD

He is amazing and easily one of my favorite people...

I am here today because of Doctor Whalen and I couldn't be more grateful. We all make mistakes, have done things we are ashamed of and we are forgiven. I cannot imagine a job where you have to deal with so much loss, having to tell people over and over that their life is over or that they are going to lose a loved one. I am still his patient and still have faith in him.

Dr. Whalen was the best Dr. I have ever had I find it very difficult to believe that he was using drugs . I felt very comfortable with him and confident he would help me . I care about him and what his future will be .

Dr. Whalen has been my oncologist since 2004. I have never known a more caring or knowledgeable physician. I have recommended three of my friends to him and they and I have found him to have exceeded all the best expectations.

I have had exposure to Dr. Whalen through his treatment of two very close friends. He was professional, competent and very caring with both. They regarded him as partners through their sometimes very scary journeys through cancer. He is going through an incredibly tough time of his own right now. I sincerely hope he humbles himself to accept help, beat his problems and returns to medical practice stronger and wiser than ever-- ready to help countless new patients.

Dr. Whalen is Ok and probably one of the better doctors in the group, however, the group as a whole is very narrow focused on administering their drugs and really doesn't treat the patient as a whole person. Dr Whalen is not very up-to-date on the new things that are out there. I have been working with this group for 1 yr. I wish there were more options in Fort Wayne!

Dr. Whalen has an excellent bedside manner and is very caring. The only issue I have is I had an issue with my cancer that he didn't know much about. I got a second opinion because I had read a lot of research. I'm sure he stays up to date on conferences, etc. but if a patient brings something new to him, he needs to research it a little more himself.

LET THE PATIENT SINK WHEN COULD HAVE HELPED!!!!
