I just read 2 negative reviews on this site, and cannot believe they are talking about the same doctor that I have been going to for 15 years! Dr. Wu takes the time to truly listen to what you say, and creates an action plan w/o emphasizing meds as a solution. Highly recommend !!

It has been four or five years since I quit seeing Doctor Wu after being his patient for four or five years. Only now after a long hiatus, I can calmly state his shortcomings as a doctor and human being interacting with people. I found him to be arrogant, condescending, dismissive, flippant and so full of himself that he was always on send. He was too busy talking down to me and did not have a clue nor did he care what I was saying. I was overweight, and his primary go to instruction to deal with my weight issue was to “eat Lean Cousines”. Plan B was sleave or stomach By Pass surgery which did not sit well given my history. I received this advice so often over every appointment that his advice just really got old and demeaning. He may have said exercise too, but if he did it did not register. Probably because I had bilateral knee replacements, bilateral hip replacements, bilateral shoulder replacements (all Total). And only a left shoulder rotator cuff repair. Cleveland Clinic… touted that the synergies of having all my doctors under one umbrella and the primary care physician was the quarterback or central repository for decision on my medical treatment. This plan sounded great except for all intents and purposes, I never felt or was made to feel I had one cohesive team. A tall rail thin doctor who weighed no more than 150 pounds in wet clothes made me feel that if only I ate Lean Cousines, my weight problem would disappear. It did not matter that I ate the recommended dinners and they did not work. The final straw was when I had a follow up appointment, I had sinus and ear issues and felt something was not right, and I felt horrible. He went on and on about Lean Cuisines and never checked my concerns. I woke up the next morning absolutely miserable with unbelievable ear and sinus pain. I called Dr Wu’s office fit to be tied and could not get in. I could not get in. I found a doctor that day to deal with my nose and sinus infection and never went back to see him. Found a new primary care outside the clinic system which now means I have tests and appointments within two systems all because an arrogant doctor could not stop talking long enough and really listen to me and my needs.

Dr Wu has consistently been able to diagnose problems that other physicians missed. He usually is running behind, but he takes all the time a patient needs when they are seen. That is more important than being on time.

There isn't a more caring and giving doctor than Charles Wu. He spends all the time needed with his patients which means he usually is late for most appointments, but you won't find many doctors who will take the time to listen to you and get the diagnosis right.
