Dr. Charlotte Elizabeth Grayson Mathis, MD

Yesterday was my first visit with her (instead of one of the PAs). Very impressed. She answered my questions succinctly and is very knowledgeable. No time wasted, which is important to an impatient person like me, but at the same time she did not rush me through any questions I had. I feel like I got very lucky having picked her from a provider list.

She is personable, attentive and cares about my overall health. I highly recommend her.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Gayson for several years. She was referred to me by my previous PCP when she left private practice and I'm glad she did. Dr. Grayson is a confident, knowledgeable and patient doctor. She has made several good and accurate diagnoses and treatments for the both of us over the years. We both trust that knowledge and her abilities and that says a lot for my wife who has severe "White Coat Syndrome" (extreme fear of doctors). Dr. Grayson is a strong and confident woman. She comes in, hears what you have to say, how you feel and then gives her diagnoses and treatment. We have never seen that as uncaring or unprofessional and we never felt like she was trying to rush in and out. We leave just as confident with her diagnoses and treatment as she was in giving them. As for the staff at the practice, we have never had anyone be short or rude to us. Our experience has been quite the opposite. Many of the staff there have gone out of their way and beyond… what would be required or expected to help us and to make at times a difficult situation easier to deal with.

Iâ??ve been a patient of Dr. Charlotte Graysonâ??s for years. There have never been any issues previous to today. This morning I called to see if she would perform a certain medical procedure or if I needed to see a specialist. I was told, quite brusquely by the nurse that Dr. Grayson doesnâ??t believe in that [procedure] and I would need a specialist. When I asked for a referral she repeated that Dr. Grayson does not believe in the procedure and would not give me a referral. I asked who she would refer me to if I were NOT getting that procedure and I received the same â??does not believe, no referralâ?? response. I explained to the nurse that I trust Dr Graysonâ??s medical knowledge and would genuinely like to know the reasoning behind this, I was repeatedly told it was the Drâ??s opinion. I eventually asked if it would be possible to speak directly to her about this. At my insistence, the nurse took my name and number and promptly hung up. Later I received a call from the… office with a referral to a doctor in the area. But still no explanation as to why the doctor was so opposed to the procedure. I am disappointed and frustrated with the whole conversation. The nurse had no reason to be impolite. On top of the hassle of simply trying to get a referral, I never received a call from the doctor explaining her point of view on the procedure. Iâ??m a patient asking for an educated, medical opinion. I deserved better treatment than that. I will not be going back.

I agreed with the last patient .Dr. Grayson is not professional. Her bedside manners are great at first. As you continue on with her as a patient she spends less time with you. She is very deceiving. Doesn't return calls. . She is dishonest in my opinion, when put on the spot. Her bedside manners are not true to who she really is. Her RN is rude and unprofessional .

The problem with Dr. Grayson she often rushes you along as if she has something better to do, she has a short attention span and can and has missed diagnosed me. Although she is my PCP, I have not seen her in years as I am always encouraged to see the PA despite havng a significant medical history. As an added bonus I hear from the MA that I can't get an appointment with Dr. Grayson because she often leaves early at the spur of the moment. I thankfully have found a better more professional practice where I can see the doctor and get accurately diagnosed without nonsense.
