Dr. Charlotte Ann Mcknight, MD

We love her. She has been great with our family and goes above and beyond.

I am both appalled and wildly disappointed with the care my girls received from Dr McKnight. Our experience with her and the institution that employs her (CoxHealth) has been one absurd episode after another. My wife and I are first time parents. Dr McKnight would ask questions about some of the milestones for our girls, but neglected to tell us what milestones we should be expecting or looking for before our next appointment. Instead, she would ask about the milestone after it should have already happened. For example, if they should be holding their head up by the 4 month mark, she's asking at the 4 month appointment if they're doing that but didn't tell us at the 2 month appointment that we should be looking for that behavior or how to encourage it. She is seemingly obsessed with our girls’ weight in comparison to the other babies their age but couldn't actually tell us what a healthy weight range would be. I could care less about how my girls stack up against other children… their age, but it does seem like knowing what a general healthy weight for my girls would be is important to know. Her answer to this problem (being on the lower end of the measurement chart) is we have to feed our girls a high calorie formula, to which we complied. However, that formula began constipating one of our girls for days, to the point that she bled trying to have a bowel movement. McKnight's solution to this? Prune/pear juice and a suppository treatment. Not changing the formula or altering amount and/or frequency, but instead she pushes for additional treatments to solve a problem created by her recommendation in the first place. My wife and I got tired of this particular cycle of insanity, took it upon ourselves to change the formula and suddenly we have marked improvement in our child. (No more need for pear juice and continued growth and development.) Even now, McKnight advocates for higher caloric intake but can't seem to provide a target to shoot for, just more. She is great at saying they aren't where they should be but doesn't say where they should be. At this point, her lack of guidance and insight is a bad joke. She either cannot or, possibly worse, will not give tangible numbers to work with. However, she is quick to show up double masked and can lecture you on the policies concerning Covid-19, but she "can't recommend a delayed vaccination schedule, because she's not the expert". (I suppose at this point we would certainly have to agree on that, she is no expert.) It would appear that she is more concerned with my perceived responsibility to the health of others, rather than her actual responsibility to the health of my children. (You know, the thing she's paid to care about.) So, if you're interested in virtue signaling, confusion, and solutions that cause more problems than they solve - keep working with this clown and may God have mercy on your soul. CoxHealth should be embarrassed and McKnight should be ashamed. The single greatest thing she can do for public health is to abandon the field entirely. I sincerely hope that our experiences at least provide some guidance and insight to new and current parents, so they can make better decisions than we apparently did.

Dr. McKnight has treat my family with exceptional care. She helps make me feel very comfortable when giving options about care for the children. She is also very resourceful with any questions. Very personable and welcoming

I don’t understand Dr. McKnight’s last review. Our family has seen her for checkups and sick visits and she is always professional and thorough. She has called to ask how my baby was feeling after she came in for vomiting. She truly goes above and beyond even when no one is looking.

She needs to grow up and act like a doctor. She should not have a job.
