Dr. Charlotte Louise Metzler, MD

I appreciate the atmosphere of dogs & babies of employees. I like Dr. Metzler's style. Other's have the opinion that she is curt but I call it "matter of fact" and I'm not there to make a friend; I'm there to find out what to do about something. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience & I trust her.

Stay far away from this dermatologist. She is rude, unkempt looking and her office smells of dogs which she has running around and barking. Appointment lasted less than 10 minutes with nothing but a gauze pad applied with an open jar of petroleum jelly. Never once did she wash her hands or put on gloves or even wash my wound. Asked if I needed some tests to determine what the infection was and she said no just keep jelly on it and come back in six weeks. Left the office and went straight to my clinic doctor who flushed the wounds out and told me never to use petroleum jelly. Did some tests and am now waiting on results. I could go on and on making this last longer than my appointment but please stay far away. Doesn't help her profession at all. Again please stay far away.

Unprofessional on all counts. "Dr" Metzler should be avoided. She did not take my concerns seriously. She initially walked into the room and said, "Alright what do you want?" After my asking for an overall skin-check and mole mapping she glanced at me with my clothes on and told me there is no need, nothing is wrong and escorted me out. I was in her office less than FIVE MINUTES!! I hope she is right by saying I am fine but how am I really to know when she did not examine any of my moles?!?? She is supposed to specialize in skincare and gave no care whatsoever to mine. I paid $170 for this less than 5 minute and rude visit.

It's a scary thing finding a mole that suddenly changes shape and turns black. Since I was new to the Olympic Peninsula, I was nervous about finding the right dermatologist, but let my fingers to the walking. Due to the are this suspicious mole was in, I decided on a female DR. I could not have found a better Dr than Dr Metzler. She made me feel comfortable immediatly. She was genuine in her concern. She even went the extra distance to assist me with grief counseling when I told her I had just lost a child. My experience and my gratitude to this woman will never be forgotten. A true, genuine, real person that truly cares for her patients. Thank you Dr Metzler for saving my life.

Dr. Metzler's overall ease with which she examines a patient and her caring personality impressed me and I would recommend her (& have) to anyone.
