Charlotte Rensberger, PNP

Charlotte was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease as a teen. This is what steered her in the direction of a career in nursing. She knows firsthand how it feels to go through the steps of diagnosis and treatment, allowing her to have a unique connection with her patients. Charlotte has a special interest in inflammatory bowel diseases, ostomy-related care, short gut, bowel-related nutrition, patient advocacy and complex care patients.Charlotte loves working with children because of their fun, resilient and unpredictable nature. “I love that they have no filter. You never know what is going to come out of their mouth next.” Charlotte is also an avid volunteer. She currently serves on the Pediatric Webpage Committee for the United Ostomy Associations of America as a secretary for the Calhoun County Nurse Honor Guard.  She also works with Girls With Guts to help raise awareness for women with irritable bowel disease. She also makes time for her church, The River in …Kalamazoo, to serve on their Tech and Worship Team. When Charlotte is not working or volunteering, she enjoys crafting, crocheting, baking and refinishing furniture.I believe that we have the best chances of improving a child's health when the parent(s) and myself partner together as a team. I want us all to feel like we are equally contributing to the child’s outcome. I work hard to ensure both parent(s) and child are heard and build a relationship that is empathetic, compassionate and honest.
