Dr. Charumathi Rathnakumar, MD

Dr . Rathnakumar is very thorough. She did extensive blood work in Order to find the best medication for my condition. She assured me that things would turn around , and they did . I was very nervous, but with her guidance and support I was able to be confident all would be ok . Every 6 months she checks my blood to be sure I’m on the correct path . During the pandemic , she was available for telemedicine to discuss my results and to be sure I was doing well . Her assistant is most helpful and professional. The Dr . Does have limited office hours , but I was always accommodated with my own crazy schedule. I highly recommend her .

My wife had tele visiting with Charumathi Rathnakumar and it was very nice and cool experience. Doc was very nice and explained all the required things thoroughly. She had good knowledge about the issue.

Never ever seen any medical assistant talks in such rude manner to patients. Though Dr. Rathnakumar is fine but her assistant does not have any mannerism to talk to patients. Dr. Rathnakumar needs to look into it. She needs to be replaced.

I was seen my Dr. Rathnakumar's partner in JFK Hospital. Turns out that the way they work is one goes to the hospital and the other works in the office so you don't get to see the same Dr. you saw in the hospital. I went to the her office and there is a sign in there stating that if patients were more than 20 minutes late they would have to be rescheduled. This is not a 1 way street. I waited 35 minutes (a 75% grace period over what she posted) and still was not seen so I left. Her message is clear: Her time is more valuable than my time. All I needed was the results of the tests that were run in the hospital. I called several times for the next 12 days, getting several different stories from her receptionist. Finally she told me that I can get the results from my own Dr. She clearly does not have any respect for her patients.

Excellent patient care

My firm belief is that this doctor is completely incompetent.
