Dr. Cheguevara Afaneh is a man with Magic Hands. He is compassionate, kind and caring. My surgery was emergent and at my evaluation when he saw I was frightened, he met me at eye level, held my hand, removed his mask (so I could see his face), and calmed my fears. I spent 3 weeks in the hospital under his (and his Resident's/Interns) vigilant care. All those involved in my case took the time to listen, and quickly addressed any and all issues that came up. I was most impressed that Dr. Afaneh advocated for what was appropriate for me (as a person), rather than what would have been the easier and more cost effective procedure for him to perform. I am now 20 months post-surgery and can say that my recovery was quick and complete. I highly recommend Dr. Cheguevara Afaneh to everyone I encounter with GI issues.
