Chelsea Travis MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at St. Luke’s. Ms. Travis earned her Master’s in Nursing at Maryville University. She holds the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certification and is licensed in Missouri and Illinois. Ms. Travis acts as a patient advocate to achieve the best possible outcomes. She provides optimal medical care through strong clinical judgment, patient-centered care, thorough physical assessments, and procedural skills. Ms. Travis has experience in both adult and pediatric care.Ms. Travis started her career at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she worked in the Cardiothoracic step-down unit, managing pre- and post-op patients. She then joined the Northshore University Health System in Chicago where she provided comprehensive health assessments, formulated differential diagnoses, and prescribed evidence-based treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Returning to St. …Louis, Ms. Travis joined the Total Access Urgent Care team during November 2019. She worked during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic alongside physicians in satellite locations throughout the St. Louis area/region. She is skilled in procedures such as suturing and laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, X-ray interpretation, and neurological evaluation.In her downtime, she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and rescue dog.Chelsea A.
