Chere Elizabeth Graham

My father was a solo family doctor who started out practicing in rural Appalachia. He used to tell me about making house calls and delivering babies during blizzards. He grew up as a poor preacher's son, and he always had a soft spot for those less fortunate. \n As I grew up, my dad become my hero, and I wanted to be just like him. I fell in love with medicine and worked as an emergency department RN before becoming a nurse practitioner. \n Navigating health and wellness can be confusing and complicated. So, I encourage my patients to ask me questions as we work together to find the best management plan to sustain health and prevent illness. \n A positive attitude goes a long way, so I like to focus on the good and provide encouragement to my patients when times are tough. \n I was honored to earn the Graduate Leadership Award at UNC Greensboro in 2018. \n When not at work, you can usually find me hiking with my dog, kayaking or playing my banjo.
