Dr. Cherie Yvonne Zachary, MD

Dr. Zachary is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine class of 1986. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospital Systems in 1989. She was an attending physician in the division of Allergy and Immunology at Northwestern University and Children?s Memorial Hospital in Chicago Illinois for eight years after completing her fellowship training there in allergy and immunology in 1991.
Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology, she is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI). She serves as a member of the Committee on the Underserved for the AAAAI. She is also the Vice Chair of the Allergy Section for the National Medical Association as well as being a member of the Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee (MEDCAC). As an allergist with Midwest Allergy and Asthma she provides …comprehensive allergy and asthma care for patients of all ages. Her areas of interest include the following: Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever), Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema), Bee Sting Allergy, Food Allergy, Medication (Penicillin) Allergy, Urticaria (Hives), and Contact (Topical) Allergy to list a few. Dr. Zachary works with her patients to provide patient centered comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for allergy suffers of all ages.
