All went well during the delivery the doctor was understanding of our situation,

Her people skills lack. She told me during labor that I was not in enough pain to be in actual labor even though I had to hold back crying through several contractions. I would never recommend her service.

She delivered my baby in 2011, & I found out she might not take any new pregnant patients because St. Joseph wasn't sure if they were going to keep the Laborist program, I was concerned. Then we that was taken care of i found out she's leaving for good in June, I was lost for words. We are loosing a great office w/Center for Women's health. I've been there for 10 yrs. & don't know where to go from here!

All my OB appointments went well until the day of delivery. I went into labor the same day I had a 42 week check-up with Dr. Andersen. Going into the appointment I told her I was feeling a lot of pressure and that I just wanted her to give the okay for me to go to the hospital as they turned me away saying I wasn't in labor. She took me to the back and asked if I wanted my membranes stripped and I told her I was already in labor and just wanted a hospital bed. After 10 minutes of her making small talk and giggling (she appeared to be under the influence of some kind of drug) she finally checks to see if I was dilated; I was 7cm so she sends me to the hospital. We arrive at the hospital and I am now 9 cm so they call Dr. Andersen to deliver. She shows up and starts having me push. After an hour of pushing the baby's head comes down but won't go any further so she pulls out the vacuum and forceps. Neither of those work so she just stops and stares at me with a blank look. The nurses in… the room page for another OB that was making rounds on the floor to assist in delivery but before he arrives the nurse squeezes her way in and maneuvers a shoulder dystocia. When she was born she was completely blue and not breathing so they ran out of the room with her into another room with proper equipment. They got my baby stable and transported her to another hospital. I didn't get to hold her for the first week because even being touched would make her heart rate fly. My baby was in the hospital for 2 weeks following the birth. I had a horrible experience and feel if the nurse hadn't stepped in I would have lost my child.
